about

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature and a minor in Women's and Gender Studies in 2007. I also spent time studying French culture and history at l'Universite de Sciences Urbaines in Lyon, France (2005). In 2010 I completed a Master's degree in English with an emphasis in literature and a graduate certificate in women's and gender studies. In 2014 finished a Masters in Psychology with an emphasis in General Psychology.

 

Currently, I work as a college instructor teaching reading, writing, communication, academic readiness, and psychology courses. I am an academic advisor for psychology students, and I serve as director of the Academic Success Center at my institution.

 

I love the fine arts, travel, connecting with others, learning new languages and embracing new experiences.

I established my own small professional photography and creative arts business in 2012 and it’s this business that this website is geared for (though I also certainly don’t mind networking with other academics here either). I do many different forms of photography including but not limited to:

• Nature and Landscape Photography

 

As part of my creative studios I also offer freelance writing and editing services and have experience doing freelance writing since 2010 and have experience editing everything from novels to doctoral dissertations.
